Tell me what is wrong about this
statement by George W. Bush in reference to Jerry Kilgore:"The thing I like about this fella is he's from Virginia and he grew up on a farm," Bush continued. "That means he's a down-to-earth person. He doesn't have a lot of fancy airs, a person who knows how the common man thinks." Bush also urged the crowd to turn out other voters, saying, "It's your time."It will be a beautiful day when people wake up and realize:
1. Bush is from Kennebunkport.
2. He does not know how the common man thinks
3. Rich boys with bad grades who get legacy admission into Yale and Harvard know nothing about being "down-to-earth"
I just love this common-man spiel. The Red staters just eat it up, and never seem to notice that there's a steaming pile of bullshit on their plate.
Then there was this gem from Kilgore:
The president "is very popular in Virginia. And he's coming off a successful South American trip," Kilgore said of Bush's overseas visit, which drew violent protests.Umm, wow. That's a wopper of a lie. Anyone who considers that trip a success has no business being put in charge of a hot dog stand, let alone the state of Virginia.
