Premature ejaculection
Texas and Maine both had ballot initiatives on Gay Marriages this election. The Texas one, of course, passed, while voters in Maine have honorably decided not to write discrimination into law.

Now, for those who have Given Up, this is good news. Pointless ballot initiatives on the divisive issues such as homosexuality and abortion are a guaranteed method of getting your base out for an election. Which begs the question, why did the moron politicians in Texas choose to ban gay marriage on an off year? Why didn't they wait for the midterm elections? You only get to ban gay marriage once, they blew their "get the base out" wad a little early on this one.
