Ann Coulter to audience: You're stupider than I am
I love that headline from this CNN article. Apparently her ideas cause some revulsion among college students at U. Conn. Who can blame them, her beliefs are repugnant. In fact, if you were to compare her statements on liberals to Hitler's statements on Jews (and replace the word Jew with liberal to make it harder), I bet you couldn't tell the difference. I'm not saying Anne Coulter is a Nazi or a Neo-Nazi or whatever at all. I'm just saying, it's really hard to tell that she isn't a Nazi. Let's just settle for calling her a fascist and avoid a violation of Godwin's law. I've replaced some of Hitler's pro-Aryan and anti-Semitic language with the words, "America", "Democrat", "liberal", and "the liberal media" to make the Coulter quotes a little more difficult to spot, answers to the quiz will be posted in the comments. Now see if you can tell Coulter or Hitler! The quiz in which a lower score probably means you're a better person...

These quotes were gleaned from her book Treason, and a couple of her opinion pieces, and the Hitler quotes are from Mein Kampf of course. The answers are 1-Coulter, 2-Hitler, 3-Hitler, 4-Coulter, 5-Hitler, 6-Coulter, 7-Hitler, 8-Coulter, 9-Hitler, 10-Hitler, 11-Coulter, 12-Hitler, 13-Coulter, 14-Hitler. The trick to distinguishing them is that Hitler has worse run-on sentences.

Wow - I got all but two right. Hitler's statements are more oratorical, whereas Coulter's are more vulgar. But it's scary to see how similar their messages are.

Amazing! No, Not Really. Our political discourse is consumed with Conservative Hate and Rage. I was amused and thought initially that I would like to send a copy of your list to the Daily Show or the Colbert Report, so that it might enjoy a wider circulation.

Hitler definitely has more run-on sentences, and more elaborate wording. Coulter's talent for the cutting quotes shines through a little better. She gets to the point.
