And that means just one thing:
Arguments at the dinner table with your conservative family members.
They're fully stocked with the most up-to-date BS talking points from O'Reilly, Boortz, Limbaugh, and the like. And they think that ID is a valid idea. So how do we argue back without totally alienating them? Is there a good primer that dismantles the stupid talking points of these guys? I know that those points are slickly packaged, so I want something that can work through their skulls.

Something that can work through their skulls? You mean, like Chambraigne?

You haven't just given up?
Smile and nod and say, "that's nice." Dismissive and placid acceptance is often much more annoying than argument, and no one can blame you for bringing up politics.
After all, no one is convinced to become a liberal from being conservative by argument. The only way people will stop being Republican is when they can no longer close their eyes to the plunger the Republicans are shoving up their ass.

I was actually predicting a conversation along the lines of: "you're a biologist. so I have all these facts about evolution that I downloaded from some website that says it's bunk. And you have to disprove me, Mr. and Ms. Science-man and -lady."
For the political part, yeah, I just mumble and mutter under my breath at them.

You could always plop them in front of this blog for a while. I'd suggest bringing an overhead projector for your laptop.
Just be sure to save the gonorrhea map for after dessert.

Ha! Gonorrhea!
I love that map. Doesn't somebody owe me a link to some story on charity?
And ignoring them works for evolution too. They want an argument, don't give it to them, because after all you won't win. Anyone who believes in ID is by definition irrational. The only person that is more irrational than an ID proponent is someone who thinks it's productive to try arguing with an ID proponent. It's bogus, don't engage.

Conservative Relative X: “ You Liberals ... (Insert talking point). ”
Response: “That’s not very Christian of you. “Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me”, that’s Matthew 25:40. I think you need to go back and read your Bible.”
