Merry X-Mas
CNN has reported on this critical new poll indicating Merry Christmas is the preferred holiday greeting of 69% of Americans. Note, that's roughly the percentage of Christians in the country (80%).

I however, have learned a new holiday greeting that I'm going to substitute for my old standby of Merry X-mas. From now on make sure to say, "Happy Celebration of the nativity of the Lord according to the flesh."

Ha! It's hard to remember, but I've been practicing. Go Jebus!

Hey! I thought it was "Happy Celebration of the Nativity of our Lord made flesh." You'll never become a Christian at this rate!

No, I had another discussion with our stodgy Christian friend. It is apparently according to the flesh. It might be our lord, but isn't that insufficiently arrogant? It suggests that someone else might have their own lord, hence the lord.

"According to the flesh" doesn't even make sense. Like some piece of meat in a butcher stall is prophesying about the nativity? What?
