Crack Tax?
So, has anyone else heard about Tennessee's Crack Tax?

Get this, if you want to sell illegal substances you pay for a stamp, and if you are caught selling illegal drugs without the stamp the cops confiscate your property for failing to pay the tax. The information in the stamp database is specifically barred from use by law enforcement.

Bizarre no? Maybe this is the first step towards ending the drug war.

The drug tax stamps have been around in lots of states for some time. Just another way to pile on charges when someone is busted.

Here's some more info.

Interesting.
23 states apparently have these laws and use them to make drug dealing even more expensive.

So, it's an additional and possibly unconstitutional method of tacking penalties to drug dealing.

Still bizarre though.
