It's interesting that a lot of people had a lot of negative reactions to
Paul Haggis' movie Crash saying that the racism depicted in the film was too overt, too unrealistic.
Granted,
this isn't Los Angeles but it seems to put the myth of racial harmony in our plice forces to bed. Sorry everybody, there still is evidence of biggoted police forces and institutionalized racism. For instance, you'd think after a cop was found handing out white supremacist literature in the local bar, it wouldn't take charges of assault and abduction of an interracial couple six years later to get him off the force.
