Everybody must hack their linksys
I ran across this hack today on boingboing.
It sounds kickass. Apparently the Linksys people built their firmware using GNU/Linux software then failed to abide by the open source license agreement. Once they were called on it they had to publish their firmware, and everyone realized something amazing, the cheap $60 routers were actually just crippled $600 routers. Hack your Linksys! Increase your broadcast power safely by 200-300%! Free wireless for all! |
