Good news for Dems
Early polling may discourage Hillary from running in 2008.

If a near majority of people say they're going to vote against you, it might be a good idea to sit this one out. She's too divisive a figure, and she won't motivate the Democratic base. I, for one, hate her because she constantly jumps on these pathetic demagogue issues that piss me off. Like attacking Grand Theft Auto. I will never vote for any politician that threatens to take my GTA away. You will have to remove the controller from my cold dead hands.

It would be good if she was discouraged from running, but I don't think anything, including political reality, is going to stop her.

The sad fact is, IMHO, that the only kind of person who can get elected President is a white man who is comfortable talking about God in public. Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter could do it. Gore and Kerry not so much.

In fact, Kerry's wishy-washy "I'm mostly a Catholic, but I don't agree with a lot of the positions of the . . . blah blah," was a total disaster.

White. Man. God-talk.

It will be 50 years before we have a President without all three of those characteristics.

Who me? No, I'm an atheist. I'm just speaking to political reality.

Let's hope so.
I defended this woman to the end during her NY Senate run. Now she is my Senator, and I feel used.
I was used.
I won't be again.

Maybe Mrs Clinton can run and, you know, we can get a Republican, and then the real partying begins!

Seriously, people: Why do any of you insist on trying to find any real distinction between the donkey and elephant? Who, running, possibly, for the Democratic nomination, has made the case for immediate withdrawal from Iraq and Afghanistan and called for a reduction in spending on the military? Until that issue comes up -- God or no God, who cares (I'm an atheist)? Falwell, Bush, Gore, Kerry...they're all enamored of big business and God's just a silly piece in a sick chessgame -- then I think voting for either party is essentially a joke.

Peace.

Dems: Please don't nominate her! It's true that the U.S. public is too boneheaded to elect anybody but an authoritative-looking white man in a dark suit who talks about God a lot. But beyond that, she's Hillary Clinton: a mealy-mouthed, pro-war two-faced Joe Lieberman wannabe.

You're kidding, right? Real Dem's know she's a DINK (Democrat In Name Only) and have no real desire to see her elected. She's way to the right of Bill.
