Chavez has found a great use for golf courses, that is, take them away and use the land to build homes for the poor.
Now, I've been the first to say we should be cautious about lauding Chavez for anything since he's one crazy Ahmedinejad-hugging lunatic, but give him credit, this is kind of awesome. It's like the political version of Caddyshack II.

I believe I heard a routine where George Carlin "joked" about doing the very same thing... It may have been someone else though, I can't really recall too well.

I'm sorry, there's plenty of land that could be confiscated before my beloved golf courses to serve the homeless. How about churches, for instance?
