Well, you can't hold people to the old testament. That's for crazy people. I'm totally going to get stoned to death for growing more than one crop in a field over in my parents' garden. I mean, tomatoes next to peas! Death to the infidels!

Perhaps, but these are being sold to the sort of person who reads Ephesians sufficiently literally to garb their children in a literal shield (not sheild as spelled on their website) of truth, wings of forgiveness, and breastplate of heterosexuality or whatever. Any sane reader would read those things as a metaphorical, spiritual set of armor. So already these are being sold to 'crazy people' who should stick to the OT laws, or at least those that weren't thrown out in the NT.
