Black Eyes on Black Friday
Get your Black Friday violence on at The Consumerist.

Anyone interested in actually venturing out late after Turkey Day next year to watch one of these scenes? Are there outlets anywhere near Cville? Ha!

I went to a Best Buy in CT because they had a swell laptop deal, and I'll likely be needing one soon.

Showed up right as the doors were opened, but laptop tickets were all given away to the people who'd camped out on line.

It was all pretty polite anyway, especially shocking since the malls of western CT are full of asshole Nyawkuhs who cross the state line for our ample shopping and well-maintained roads.

In fact I was probably the worst jackass there because I think I accidentally cut into the checkout line. I thought it was the end of the line, but it turned out that people were just leaving a gap in the aisle so people could walk through. So I took advantage of a rare moment of niceness -- inadvertently at first, but when I saw how long the line was behind me, I said "fuck it" and stayed. Hell, all I had to show for my trouble was a $25 copy of Neverwinter Nights 2, and I spent all of 2 seconds actually paying.

So what I'm basically saying is I am filled with irrational hate for (non-NYC) New Yorkers.
