It's not a good thing. And one of the things we've been critical of are movements that don't rein in their more radical allies, because everybody should be responsible for their own extremists. The right wing has gay bar/abortion bombers, the Libertarians have Tim McVeigh, and the left wing has ALF, ELF, and PETA, etc.
Part of the reason that we wrote the
Hitler or Coulter quiz is to point out the dehumanizing rhetoric used by the right wing against liberals. They literally make it sound like we're some evil conspirators who are trying to destroy the country. In the last election, we even got the moniker "Demoncrat."
Now given the type of rhetoric that makes liberals sound like they are pure evil, should we be surprised when the
white powder terrorist turns out to be a
Freeper?

Ironically, my attitude toward FreepTards is a bit dehumanizing as well: I can't help but view them as utter cartoons, the stereotypical closed-minded ultra-rightie thug x 1,000.
The invite it onto themselves, though, they really do. They have a perfect self-sealed environment where any dissent, no matter how minor, is instantly deleted. Their delusions feed off each other and grow up all unhealthy and distorted, and repellent to normal healthy people. Like the furries and pedophiles who built up similar communities, they are perverts. Political perverts.
It doesn't surprise me in the slightest that one would get pushed so far by all the rhetoric that he'd do something like this. Let's hope he's detained under all those "anti-terror" laws the Freepers celebrate so much. See how long one of them lasts in Guantanamo.
